Reference Screens

There are three reference screens. The main reference is called Ref #1. Ref #2 is used for the interfering station when doing interference studies. The "Add Contour" screen is used for adding signal contours to a map.

To display the Reference #1 Station Parameters screen, click on the Ref #1 button in the lower left portion of the Main Screen.

Using the Query Feature

1. Select FM or TV as the database for Query to search.

2. Click the Query Button

3. Type in the two-letter abbreviation for the state

4. "Tab" to the Match field (or click the field with the mouse)

5. Type in the station call sign

6. Click the Find button

7. Click the Accept button

Other controls on this screen include:

F(50-50)/F(50-10)/F(50-90) button

Contour level slider(otherwise accept its default value)

Number of contours slider

(note increment one contour at a time for each value of contour added and then leave the slider with the last contour number showing.)

Line Type slider

Pattern Button (for loading or editing patterns)

The "Get COR" button calculates the COR when the reference station is given a specific HAAT

The "Max Class" button calculate the maximum class facilities for the assigned reference class

"Store" Stores the coordinates for recall in the future under the Add Contour screen.

"Load " Loads a previously stored set of coordinates and operating parameters.

"Pull" Pulls the coordinate information, power, height, directional pattern and other parameters from the Reference Screen
