Population

The optional population overlay database will allow you to create a scattergram of the population at any location in the continental US. A scattergram is very useful to show population concentrations to determine the effectiveness of coverage. With INTERDLG's "Show Values" option switch set to "on" (found on the Set Map Defaults - Options" screen) the program will place the exact number of people found in each census block group on to your map immediately adjacent to the population "+" marker. You can see these values by using INTERDLG' s zoom feature.

When the "Calculate population" default check box is checked INTERDLG will also calculate the population of a given station's coverage contour based on the US Census block group data.
