Adding ContoursYou may add a contour to a frame at any time since the frame's scale and center reference point is saved with each frame you make and re-loaded any time the frame is accessed, the contour will always plot at the correct location on an existing map.
1. Click on the Contour button of the Main Screen 2. Fill in the blanks on the Add Contour Screen with either procedure:
B. Or fill in the blanks. Add Contour Reference DataYou can fill in the fields for the station to be plotted or you can have INTERDLG query the database for you. (See Reference Station #1) Call Type in the Call Sign of the Station you are adding. Ch. # Type in the Channel Number. Class Enter the Class (e.g., A, B, C, C1, etc.). Lat Type in the Latitude (e.g., 430927). Lng Type in the Longitude (e.g., 930811). Ant H Optional: Type in the value in meters (/F for feet). Ant C Type in the value in meters (/F for feet). ERP Enter the Effective Radiated Power in kilowatts. Line Click the left or right triangle arrows to change the line style. (Select line types with smaller numbers (between 1 and 2) for dotted lines, while line types with higher numbers are shown as various dashed lines (3-6). Line Type 7 is a solid line. Once you choose a line type it will be the default value for all the contours you add until it is changed. ) Contour in dBu Set the contour value in dBu. (Set "Number" of contour to be drawn with the dBu value first. i.e., #1, then set dBu value, #2, set dBu value, etc.) Number How many contours you will be placing on the map. (Increase this number then set the dBu value above. Leave this number showing the highest value for which you have set a contour value.) COR Click COR to calculate the Center of Radiation. Pattern Click the Pattern button to view and/or modify the pattern (if any) associated with the station. Pertinent Arc Click the Check Box to have INTERDLG plot just the arc that is appropriate for the relationship of the two stations. Ref #1 Click the Ref #1 button to see what you have set for the primary station contour. Apply Click the Apply button and INTERDLG will plot the contour(s) and display the map. Store Stores the coordinates for recall in the future under the Add Contour screen. Load Loads a previously stored set of coordinates and operating parameters. Pull Pulls the coordinate information, power, height, directional pattern and other parameters from the Reference Screen |
