FMPTP Propagation Model

This is an implementation of the propagation model used in computing the FCC's new proposed Point-to-Point Contour Prediction Method for FM broadcast stations.

Modal Inputs:

Receiver Height – This is the receiver height above ground.
Type of Signal – This is the type of signal calculated by the PTP model... the Service signal is similar to the F(50-50) type of FCC calculation, and the Interference signal is similar to an F(50-10) type of calculation.
Include FMPTP clutter factor – This switch determines whether the FMPTP clutter factor is used in signal calculation.

Differences from the FCC's current implementation of FMPTP

The FCC specifies that the FMPTP model is to use 30 Second terrain with 0.25 mile (about 0.4 km) spacing along azimuths. For improved accuracy, Terrain-3D uses 3 second terrain with 0.1 km spacing along azimuths.
