The File Menu

New Project
This will prompt the user to save the existing project (if needed) and then display the Terrain-3D startup screen.
Save Project
Save the current project using the current file name, if the project has not yet been saved a save dialog box will appear asking for a file name.
Save Project As
Use this to save a project under a different name.
Open Project
Open a saved project. If the current project needs to be saved, the user will be asked whether or not to save.
Export 3D Map
Use the export function to save the current 3D map to a standard graphics file. Terrain-3D is capable of saving to BMP, GIF, JPG, and PNG formats. Use the “File Type” selector on the save dialog box to select the file format you wish to save to.
Print 3D Map
This prints the 3D map. The following options dialog will appear:
Here you can enter a title and sub-title for the map. There are also several print options which you can select to configure the printed output.
Print 2D Map
When printing the 2D map, you will be prompted for a Title and Sub-Title. Then a second widow will appear where you can set up the printer and select the map scale desired on the printout. Terrain-3D will automatically select a scale which will approximately match the printout with what you see on the screen.
Printer Setup
This will load a standard Windows printer setup dialog box. Here you can select the printer you wish to use and modify the settings for that printer.
Recent Files
Terrain-3D will display a list of recent files which can be loaded by clicking on the file name.
Exit
Exit the program, you will be prompted to save if needed.
