The Points Window is used to define the data points for a specific radial.
The dataset that is being edited is selected at the top of this window. To the right of that is the "Ratio" that is associated with this dataset. This "Ratio" is used when plotting data points. When plotting "Ratio" is applied as follows:
Plotted Field = "Field from dataset table" / Ratio
Use the "Add", "Edit", and "Remove" buttons to modify the list of points. The "Mass Add" button can be used to add a number of points one after another. When editing points the following window appears:
When editing points, the "+" button can be used to move from one field to another. This will allow the user to enter point information with one hand using the numeric keypad. When performing a "Mass Add" the "Enter" button will move to the next record.
Functions
Click on the "Functions" button to display the functions menu:
Generate Text Report - Create a text based report for the points listed in the table.
Assign Point Numbers Based on Distance - Use this function to re-number the points in the list based on the distance (this can be used to match point numbers in one dataset with those in another).
Generate Ratio Report - This generates a report of the ratio of field strengths in two different datasets.
Loading Point Data from a File
Click the "Load" button to load measured point data from a file. The program will accept data in a Comma Separated Value (CSV) format. If the program detects the data format it is loaded directly, otherwise the CSV options window is displayed:
Enter the column number for each data item in the corresponding edit boxes. If a "Data Column" edit box is left blank, the program will assume that data is not in the file and used the value entered in the "Default Value" edit box in its place. If the "Point Number" data column field is blank the point in the file will be numbered sequentially. |
