V-Soft Communication's SunDTV

Overview

SunDTV is a PC interface used to access and run studies using the FCC's 'TV Process' program on a Sun Sparc system.  SunDTV uses a PC interface to send 'jobs' over the Internet to the SunDTV server where they are processed.  When the processing is finished, the user is informed via email that the job has been completed and is given a URL where the results can be viewed and downloaded using an Internet browser.

The SunDTV program identically duplicates the FCC's OET processing program. The reason we have found a program such as this necessary is that we have found that the FCC OET 69 process is "processor dependent." It was discovered that even when the exact source code that the FCC uses was compiled and run on a non-Sparc platform the results were not always identical with the FCC's results. SunDTV was designed to be a 'user friendly' way for people to run OET 69 studies and get results that match those generated by the FCC.
